BEWARE: FAKE STOP SIGNS in El Sauzal
Beware, THE LOCAL FUZZ in El Sauzal are stopping people in the area claiming they ran a stop sign that was not there.
My friend got stopped in the town just north of Ensenada. The asked him to come in to the local police shack where they said the ticket was 1000 pesos (about $ 100 usd). He did NOT have it. So like any good closer, if the objection is price, drop the price.
So they dropped to 500 pesos and then to 250 pesos when he bitched about it. He paid it and moved on. He was pissed.
Is this corruption? Or are these coppers just paid too little and thus lose their integrity to put food on the table?
